It is an ancient Himalayan Kingdom. which lies in the northern central part of Nepal It is the roof of the Kaligandaki River. Upper Mustang consists of two distinct regions: the southern part and the northern where the Culture ,language &traditional are alike to those of the Tibetan people. This area is consider as one of the most interesting and picturesque places in Nepal. The whole area has an isolated and mystical feel to it, enchanting and inspiring visitors to this region.
The capital remained closed for foreigners until 1992. Nesting on the Tibetan boarder, this region is dominated by giants Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, which is located in the northwestern part of Nepal. Inside the walled city of Lo Manthang are some of the largest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in Nepal. This is a difficult trek because of high altitude, exposed terrain and continual Strong winds. This area has long been inhabited by Tibetan Buddhists and no where else in Nepal can such rich, untouched culture be found. Trekkers are not common here which is why this trek provides such a rare and up close look at a society that has remained unaffected by change for centuries. Hidden behind the majestic Himalayan ranges of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, Mustang is filled with beautiful trekking .
